There is no denying that I am a huge lover of coffee, I actually think I need coffee so that I am able to function. One thing I never thought I would do though is apply coffee to my body to exfoliate my skin. Over the past couple of years it seems to be quite a popular phase. So I decided, why not give it a go?
The one thing that put me off using coffee scrubs was the smell, I was terrified that I would just smell of coffee. Instead I decided to use the Frank Body Peppermint Coffee Scrub, which has the most beautiful peppermint smell. The first thing I did notice though when using this scrub was it was very very messy. It is probably not the best idea to use in my all white bathroom.
I first decided to test this out on my legs, as I feel that my legs often dry out and need a good exfoliation. I used a small handful of the scrub and applied it to my legs, I made sure to give them a good scrub but them left them for a good five minutes. When you are rubbing the coffee into your skin you see the coffee start to resolve into the water and leave brown coffee dripping down your legs, but as soon as you rinse it off after those five minute, you can already feel the difference in your skin.
The other thing I find interesting about coffee scrub, is you can use this on body your body and your face. I have not yet tested this on my face as I do have sensitive skin on my face and I’m prone to imperfections but this product is my current favourite to use on my body as it leaves it feeling clean, soft and feeling incredible!
