A Year of Chasing My Desire!

So, it turns out that I have had my blog ‘chasing my desire’ for a year now, something that I did not expect to happen. This isn’t going to be one of those big blog birthday posts where I celebrate how successful my blog is because in reality my blog isn’t actually that successful, but I did not intend for it to be.

I decided to make a blog and to this date 12 months ago it was created, but I didn’t publish my first post until a couple weeks later. The first post I published was ‘Why I’ve started blogging‘ which discussed how I wanted to start a blog for fun and use it as my own little personal journal – which is what I have done. I never wanted to start a blog to become a social influencer. I did not start a blog to get thousands of followers and I did not start a blog to receive free stuff from brands.

When I first started I also commented that I did not mind if I didn’t have anybody read my blog as it was not being created for success but since I started a year ago, I have had over 15,000 views and many positive commented on my posts. Which for me is enough success. One of my most successful being ‘Dear teens, perfect does not exist‘ where many people passed comment on how they wished somebody would of done this pos when they were a teen.

Even if one of my posts has had an influence on one person then I am happy with what I have done. I have enjoyed producing this blog for the passed year and hope that I can continue to do so. Unfortunately, I know that the next year is going to be a struggle as it is my final university year and completing a BA Honours degree whilst working a full time job, so blogging is at the back of my priority list. Hopefully I will be able to continue and hopefully somebody out there will want to read what I produce!

Much Love,

Congrats on one year! I like how your blog is more personal rather than big and commercial.
