Lately, I’ve found that getting traffic towards your blog can be quite challenging. As it is becoming more popular for people to want to just scroll down Instagram looking at pictures than for people to click on a blog link and actually read what somebody has written.
I always see people claiming that Pinterest is a great for bringing traffic to your blog. I have had Pinterest for about 10 months now but never really used it to help with the blog. It was always the platform I would go on every now and again to find some inspiration from somewhere.
About 4 weeks ago I decided to actually give Pinterest a proper go. All I did was save most of the images from my blog posts. I started with my posts that were mainly based around images, such as my ‘On My Mind‘ posts. So I saved all my posts from my ‘Interior Design‘ post and waited to see if anybody would actually see them. Within a week I found that I was starting to get traffic back on that post, which is quite old so it doesn’t really get any traffic towards it. Within a couple of weeks I found that it had received over 200 views just from people clicking on the pictures from Pinterest.
As you can see above in the last two weeks my Pinterest monthly views have risen but 384% and my engagement has risen by 415%. As you can see my engagement is still not the highest but it is still a lot higher than it used to be.
By using Pinterest I am now able to to help my old posts receive more traffic instead of them being forgotten about. I have been able to increase this traffic just by saving the images on Pinterest. As well as saving my own images, I have been repining atlas 10 pins a day to help my Pinterest to get a higher engagement.
