12 Ways You Become Independent In Your 20’s

When us women reach our twenties we know that we need to become more independent. Whether you still live at home or not you are starting your independence and this how we tend to do it!

  1. You start saving money- well you put the money aside for a few weeks until you find a really cute top!
  2. Coffee becomes your new best friend- doesn’t matter how much you pretend to be a morning person, coffee is always the answer!
  3. TGIF is your new favourite saying – forget Mondays you wish for Friday!
  4. You set the standards when it comes to men.
  5. You realise you don’t need a man to make you happy.
  6. You find that money cannot buy happiness but just an empty bank balance.
  7. You kick people out of your life who hold you back.
  8. You realise how important family really is!
  9. You start to realise that it is the little things that really matter.
  10. You strive to accomplish your goals.
  11. You start appreciating a quiet night in after a long week at work.
  12. You start putting yourself first for a change.

YES YES YES! I have just turned 27 and I agree 100% with everything (minus the coffee – it just doesn’t float my boat haha). I have recently cut loose “friends” who used me, I discovered material items aren’t as important as memories. Such a good read!! xo

I am in love with this post.
I’ve only just moved out into my first home (with my boyfriend) away from my parents
and defiantly agree with these points. I actually need to get my bum into gear
and do some of these steps.

    Wonderful article!
